If you would like to become a part of this cause, there are a variety of ways to help others in need. Even if you only get one person on the bone marrow registry, that one person could possibly save someone's life.

How to Register

Sign up to give someone else a second chance at life. Only 30 percent of patients find compatible matches within their family; the other 70 percent are counting on you to give them hope. It doesn't take much, all it takes is a swab of your cheek.

Other Ways to Help

1. You can educate your friends and family about the need for bone marrow donors, and encourage them to register.

2. You can spread the word online through social media.

3. You can host your own donor registration drive or volunteer at one.
